I promise I will have a book review for you guys at some point, but for right now I thought it would be nice to include my star rating system so that you understand what my ratings mean!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Star
This book lives in my head rent free — it is a new favorite! I would recommend it to literally everybody. It probably became my new personality (after Jesus, of course)!
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Four Stars
I still loved the book — it’s just not a new personality trait. I would absolutely recommend it.
⭐⭐⭐ Three Stars
I liked the book, I didn’t love it. I may still recommend it.
⭐⭐ Two Stars
I didn’t care for the book. I either struggled to finish or DNF’d it, depending on how invested I was in the story. I probably wouldn’t recommend it.
⭐ One Star
Respectfully, I didn’t care for the book. I DNF’d it.
Please keep in mind that my star rating system is very subjective. What’s a five for me might be a one for you — and what’s a one for me might be a four or five for you. Not every book is for every reader. I will not trash talk a book. Someone else’s heart and soul went into that writing, and it is certainly not Christian to drag someone else, especially on the internet.
I’m most likely to review books ranked four or five stars because these are the ones that make me say, “Oh my goodness, I need to sit down and talk about this with somebody!” And that’s where you come in, dear readers.
I’m curious, how do you rate your books?
